Officer No. 19980 Report
I was awoken today by a very irritating alarm. The sound of the sirens irritated me so bad that i almost felt like not comming in for training today. Then again, if i didnt, command was going to have my head. I decided that I would just shut up and go to the barracks...again. This lack of sleep is really taking it toll on my performance. I was up all night writing up some more tactical reviews for the board, and i must have spent over 3 hours on it. But in the end it was good, because i got good reviews for it today by my peers.
I've Recruited a fellow officer to finish in these tactical plans with me, since i need all the help i can get. I maybe an officer, but i am no god. The downside is, that it will take sometime to finish these. But no matter, these reviews will be well worth the time and effort.
Today, we actally had some excitement. Instead of the normal, get in, get out day, we got to do some combat practice. After the briefings and discussions in all 4 workstations were done, we reported to the logistics division. Some of the boys from my division joined up around and we readied ourselves for combat trials. Luckily, we werent just practicing dummy shooting. Today, we faced our rivals from the other division that was stationed on base. It was nice to do a little competing.
The war games had begun today. Very exciting, I thought that i was smart by not skipping the day today. It was a fast paced and long fight, but in the end, our division ended up winning. The enemy was tough though, and we realized that we couldnt have won if it hadn't been for a couple of really hard hitting recruits. They shall be commended later on for their supperior skills. Our commander wasnt that bad either, he was one of our best people on the field.
Other than that it was a normal day. But what a normal day. I loved it, we should do combat drills more often, and more brutal. I hope to face that division again someday in a rematch and see how we do after some practice has hardened me. All these months behind a desk and papers made me wonder that if i didnt start going into the field, i was going to become retired very soon.
It was good to be out on the field again today. I hope I can fight again another time.
